Pallet tea house, Colors of The Fjords [June, 2010]

Colours of The Fjords was a study trip to Ulvik and the Hardanger Fjord in Norway, arranged by Bergen Academy of Art and Design in June 2010. The purpose of the trip was to introduce the fjord area to artist interested in engaging with the area and to gather ideas for art projects in the the area. The participants stayed at Ulvik Hotel situated at the bottom of the fjord next to an old but still active pallet factory. The temporary tea house seen on the photos above and below, was improvised on the factory dock using pallets borrowed from the factory and was part of a proposal for a permanent tea house to be built in the nearby mountains.
